Watching Korean TV - Making up the story!

Determined to immerse ourselves in Korean culture, this morning we could not tear ourselves away from a Korean soap opera. Some perky young people are delivering bright yellow packages to elderly folks living in little shacks when they come upon one on fire. Great consternation! The handsome young man douses himself with water and runs into the burning shack to save a young child just as his girlfriend arrives, hysterical. He saves the child, but his girlfriend is angry. She hits him, in a very girly way. He professes his love for her, but is rejected. We're crushed. How can she reject him now? Heartless! Well, we could have the story all wrong. Needless to say we couldn't understand a word. (Pictures taken from the TV below!)

Travel tip number 2: always travel with someone who's idea of adventure is the same as yours. Getting in from the airport was a bit of an adventure, to quote Paula who apparently loves adventures. It was supposed to be fairly easy to understand where we were to get off, but of course we got off at the wrong place. We eventually got to the hotel, where Rose was waiting, after the cab driver called the hotel from his cell to figure out where it was. Rose then took us out to a little Korean restaurant, only 5 tables, and ordered wonderful noodles and dumplings for us.
